Poetry Friday: “Where You Find It”
A little something different for today. I apologize for the inconvenience, but if you click the image you’ll be able to read it more easily…
Many thanks to my daughter, Katherine, for providing the photo! For all of today’s Poetry Friday happenings, visit this week’s hostess, Linda, at Teacher Dance.

Super photo and I love the poem! Crevice and knoll are such fun words.
What a father/daughter team! The poem and picture go so well together- both lovely!
Thank you both!
I think my favorite one is “empty space.”
What a lovely thought – knowing that inspiration can be found anywhere and everywhere. Thanks for the reminder, Matt.
Glad you liked it, Myra!
When someone asks us where we get ideas, we should send them here
Thanks, Tabatha. But of course, since inspiration is everywhere…you can send them anywhere!
What an encouraging thought! Now I must find my inspiration spot.
Your inspiration spot is anywhere you want it to be, Violet!
Very nice combo! Thanks for the encouragement.
Words to live by! Compliments to your daughter for the beautiful photo.
Thanks, Andi and Buffy…I appreciate your thoughts!
Some have to learn to be aware, to look, notice, think, peruse, ponder. Inspiration is anywhere if you are open to finding it and letting it in to enrich your life. I like your poem, Matt. It would be easy to learn this one by heart and I think it is one to remember.
I was hoping it would be easy to remember, without being too ‘simplistic’ – so I’m glad you like it!
I think this time the inspiration is in a daughter’s photo, right? Beautifully written and presented, Matt. Thank you!
GREAT photo! You two are an awesome team!
Thank you both! I keep telling her she needs to do this professionally.
Matt, after using vintage postcards as poetry prompts, I have to agree with your poem’s sentiment. Anything can spark a poem.
Indeed…no matter what it is, no matter where it is.
Gorgeous photograph, and a hearty poetic reminder to creative folks of any stripe. Thanks for sharing.
And thank YOU for stopping by, Robyn!
