Poetry Friday: “The Journey”

poetryfridaybutton-fulllI need to thank Laura Purdie Salas for this poem – it was through one of her “15 Words or Less” poetry prompts that I was spurred to write this. Hope you enjoy it!

    Hi Matt,
I have been busy with other things, sadly, and not participating in 15 Words or Less lately. I love this photo and your words do make me think. And while the beauty of the snowfall that dresses the trees in white excites us, too much of a good thing causes angst for sure, like so many this winter. It is fragile and powerful at the same time, kind of like the choices along our way, don’t you think?

  2. I remember this, it’s such a gently and loving invitation, Matt. Those 15 words are challenging aren’t they? Sometimes I’m in awe what can be said. I’m glad you put your poem with the photo-beautiful, & like the friend’s idea of having it be the them for your blog & for publishing.

    I like that one, Matt.
Also, so funny — I just clicked over for the first time to listen to your voice-over demos and I laughed out loud at the first bit about the bathtub because I lived the nightmare last month. 🙂 (Glad I can laugh about it now….)
